I have now recorded myself singing several of my songs with the original midis doing all the instruments. Hear for yourself; the link is on the My Music page. On a much less impressive but still worthy sidenote, another new song is in nwc and midi forms, an acoustic quickie called Serenity. It happened to push my lyrics over the capacity of one page because of the way this site is designed, so its words occupy a More Lyrics page.
1/4/07: There is now a page for my arrangements! It's not just a gallery - it's nice to have access to all of those from anywhere, in case you [or I] want to print out parts and play some. Meanwhile, the whole file storage system got revamped. While uploading all of my arrangements to the site's database, I put everything into more sensible folders that are organized in a straightforward manner. "Parent Directory" is now a useful thing to click.
Now, go listen. Listen to songs that have "Unknown" in the title and tell me what they should really be called. Pretty please? I'll make you a snowcone if you do.
My Music // Lyrics
The point of this site is to host the music I write. I think it's pretty good, but then again I made it all. If you listen to any, let me know which ones. You can ask me first if you want to know what's more worth listening to. Feedback, recommendations for new stuff or changes to what I've got, challenges, and offers for collaboration are all more than welcome.
Then there are the words to the songs of mine that have words. Some are heartfelt, some where thrown together on a whim, so suspend your expectations and enjoy it. If you open any of my song files in a midi-writing program you can see the lyrics attached to notes as it plays. If you want one, google NoteWorthy Composer, it's free and has a very clear interface.
My Arrangements
Arranging has gone hand in hand with composing as a hobby. I've started to develop an ear for what would sound cool if a symphonic ensemble got their horns on it. Here you can find a whole bunch of arrangements of popular songs, plus some that are a little less well known. There are also varying arrangements of my own work, when I needed to redesign a piece to fit it into a new situation.
What I Listen To
I figure I might as well have a place to list my favorite bands and songs. That way, if you want to grow up to be like me, you can idolize the same wonderful artists I do. If you're looking for something new, feel free to browse, or just talk to me and tell me what sort of stuff you listen to and I'll match you up with something you'll like.
